How to deliver maximum value to the organisation through HR Best Practices?

 

Gartner held 3 HR conferences late last year in London, Orlando & Sydney. If you've missed any of those, don't worry as I've summarized the key takeaways & recommendations for you here:

 

Make Work Better

- Only 29% of employees are satisfied with collaboration at their organisation

- Only 53% of recent hires are prepared with the skills they need

- 41% of time using #AI is wasted

💡 Recommendation

1. To tackle the above, the advice for HR leaders is to use their human expertise to make work better 

 

Culture Change

- 97% of CHROS would like to change some aspect of the culture at their organisation 

 

💡Recommendation: 

1. Leaders: Link culture change to measurable success metrics & communicate performance comparisons to maintain commitment to the change

2. Managers: Address cultural tensions & simplify actions with practical culture hacks

3. Employees: Encourage genuine feedback, promote employee ownership of the culture change, & acknowledge cultural practices in action

 

Digitally Savvy CHROs

- Only 36% of technology executives rank CHROs among their top peers who can realistically co-lead enterprise wide culture change on digital skills & mindset

 

💡Recommendation:

1. Assess your challenges & strengths to prioritize your digital objectives

2. Introduce a small, manageable habit into your daily routine

3. Establish a development goal to gradually enhance your digital skills

4. Monitor your digital progress & its effects on your relationships with peers & teams

 

Shape Hiring Forecasts

- Only 22% of recruiting executives agree they have visibility into the business hiring needs for the current year

 

💡Recommendation: 

1. Diversify inputs to close knowledge gaps

2. Implement guardrails to manage expectations

3. Manage accountability to monitor changes

 

Use AI and Automation to improve productivity

- Only 58% of CHROs are partially successful at automating & augmenting HR processes

 

💡Recommendation:

1. Establish your hyper-automation objectives & ensure they align with your business goals

2. Concentrate on coordinating various automation tools to guarantee efficient task completion

3. Align your strategies & emphasize functional readiness to integrate & advance your approach

 

Career Growth

- Ca. 40% of executives are dissatisfied with their work environment & career development

 

💡Recommendation:

Targeted executive coaching is most effective here, since it provides personalised support & strategies, helping executives overcome challenges, enhance their leadership skills, & achieve career development goals
